How does the reveal work?

When you start a journey, you choose a photo and a length: 7 days, 30 days, or a custom number of days. That photo is divided into pieces. Each day you successfully check in, one more piece is revealed, both in the app and on your home screen widget, until the full photo is uncovered.

How do daily check-ins work?

Once a day, open the app or use the widget to mark your check-in for that day. You can set a daily reminder so you don't miss one. If you miss a day, your journey simply waits for your next check-in, and your revealed progress isn't lost.

What happens if I mark a day as missed?

That day's piece stays covered rather than uncovering, and it is covered a little more heavily than a day still ahead of it, in the cover's own color rather than grayed out. The days either side of it keep opening as normal, and every piece you have already earned stays earned. Nothing resets and there is no streak to lose. Missed days stay visible on purpose, as a record of the days that got away from you rather than a penalty.

Which devices does it work on?

Each ecosystem syncs across its own devices. Apple devices, meaning iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch, sync your journey through your iCloud account, so a check-in on one shows up on all of them. Android devices, phones and watches, sync your journey through your Google account, so a check-in on one shows up on all of them. On the free version, syncing stays inside one ecosystem: your iPad will not sync to a Pixel. Premium is what crosses that line. Turn on cross-platform sync and your journeys follow you between Apple, Android and Windows, which is the part Apple and Google cannot do for each other. One subscription covers every device you own either way.

What do I get for free?

One journey at a time, 7 or 30 day lengths, the Petals reveal style, the home screen widget, the watch app, the daily reminder, and every journey you finish is kept. Exporting a finished reveal as an image is free too, with no watermark unless you turn one on. Your journeys back up through your own iCloud or Google account, and nothing is uploaded to us.

What do I get with Premium?

Your journeys on every device you own, including between Apple, Android and Windows. Several journeys at once instead of one at a time. Any journey length, not just 7 or 30 days. Seven cover colors. And three more reveal styles: Rings, Arcs and Geo. Premium also adds your finished photos as a gallery and per-journey results. Exporting a finished reveal is free for everyone, on the free tier too, and so is backup through your own iCloud or Google account.

You can move the cover strength, the cover color and the reveal style on your own photo before you pay, so you can see exactly what you are buying. The paywall only appears when you save what you have chosen.

How do I restore a purchase?

If you've subscribed and reinstalled the app or moved to a new device, open Settings within the app and choose "Restore Purchases." On iOS, your subscription is restored automatically based on your Apple Account. On Android, open the Play Store, tap the menu, go to Subscriptions, and make sure you're signed in with the same Google account you subscribed with.

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

On iPhone, go to Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions, select Reveal the Dream, and adjust or cancel from there. On Android, open the Play Store app, tap the menu, go to Subscriptions, select Reveal the Dream, and adjust or cancel from there. On both platforms, subscriptions are managed through your app store account, not within the app, and changes take effect at the end of the current billing period.

How do I delete my data?

All of your data, including your dream photo, check-ins, and progress, lives only on your device. To remove it completely, delete the app. Because nothing is stored on any server, this fully and permanently erases your data. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Can I change my dream photo or journey length after starting?

You can start a new journey at any time from within the app. Check the app's settings for the most current options for editing an in-progress journey.
