A habit tracker for Apple Watch, with your goal on your wrist

Get it on the App Store Try it in your browser

Free. The watch app comes with the iPhone app and needs watchOS 10 or later.

A watch is the cheapest glance you have. You look at it without taking anything out of a pocket, many times a day, which makes it a good home for a habit. Reveal the Dream puts a photo of your goal on your wrist, uncovered one piece for each day you check in.

How it works

On your iPhone you pick a photo of the thing you are working toward and a journey of 7 or 30 days. The photo starts covered, divided into one piece per day. Each check-in uncovers one more piece, on the phone, on its widget and on your watch.

Miss a day and that piece stays covered. Nothing resets, and every piece you already uncovered stays uncovered.

The watch app

Open it and your reveal fills the screen, with the day you are on and a Check in button. Tap it and the day is recorded. The check-in goes through your iPhone, so the phone needs to be within reach of the watch when you tap it.

The complication

Put your progress on the watch face in the circular, corner, inline or rectangular slot, depending on which faces you use. The complication shows how far through the journey you are, and the watch app shows the photo.

What stays on the phone

The countdown to your next check-in is on the iPhone app and its home screen widgets. The watch does not show it. If you want the countdown somewhere you can see it without opening anything, iPhone can also show it on the Lock Screen when you turn on "Countdown on the Lock Screen" in Settings.

Choosing a journey, changing the length and marking a missed day all happen on the iPhone too. The watch is for seeing the goal and checking in.

Free, and what Premium adds

The watch app and the complication are free. They come with the iPhone app, which is free with one journey at a time and lengths of 7 or 30 days. The watch app needs watchOS 10 or later.

Premium adds several journeys at once, custom lengths, rest days for the weekdays you do not train, repeating journeys and more. See Premium.

Good habits for a wrist

  • Steps or a daily walk. The watch is already counting, and the check-in is one tap when you hit the number.
  • Training for a race. A photo of the finish line or the route, with rest days on the days you do not run. More on the workout tracker page.
  • A few quiet minutes. Meditation, stretching, a glass of water. Small things that are easy to forget and easy to confirm.

There is more about the iPhone side on the iPhone app page, and about the widget on the habit tracker widget page.
