A Streaks app alternative with no streak to break

Streaks is a beautifully made app. It won an Apple Design Award, the App Store lists it as an Editors’ Choice, and you pay for it once. The whole idea is in the name, and its website says it plainly: “Don’t break the chain, or your streak will reset to zero days.”

That works brilliantly for a lot of people. People search for a Streaks alternative for two common reasons: they want something on Android or Windows, or they have found that a reset to zero is the moment they stop. Details below were checked on the US App Store and the Streaks website on 13 September 2026.

What Streaks does well

• A focused list. Up to 24 tasks you want to do each day, with more than 600 icons and 78 color themes.
• Health integration. It can tick off steps, water and similar tasks from the Health app without you opening it.
• Scheduling. Some tasks are not for every day. Its website gives Monday to Friday, three days a week and every Wednesday as examples, set so the other days do not break your streak.
• A great watch app, with support for every Apple complication type, plus home screen widgets, negative tasks for breaking a habit, timed tasks and shared tasks.

What Streaks costs today

$5.99, once, on the US App Store, with no in-app purchases listed. That buys the iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch and Apple Vision Pro versions, synced through iCloud. It holds 4.8 stars from 27,351 ratings, and its latest version, 11.3.9, arrived in August 2026.

For somebody who uses only Apple devices and wants the full app for one small payment, that is excellent value.

Streaks on Android and Windows

Streaks is made for Apple devices only, and its website lists no Android or Windows version. If you have moved to an Android phone, or you want your goal on a Windows PC at work, you will need a different app.

How Reveal the Dream is different

Reveal the Dream has no streak. You pick a photo of one goal, choose a journey of 7 or 30 days, and the photo starts covered in one piece per day. Each check-in uncovers a piece.

Miss a day and that piece stays covered. Every piece you already earned stays uncovered, and the next day carries on as normal. The missed day stays visible as a small covered patch in the finished picture, an honest record that costs you one piece and nothing more. Some people do their best work against a streak, and Streaks serves them well. Reveal the Dream is for the people who would rather keep the progress they already made. It runs on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, Android, Wear OS and Windows, with a widget that shows the photo on each of the home screens and desktops it supports.

When to pick which

Stay with Streaks if you use only Apple devices, you like tracking several daily tasks, you want Health tasks that complete themselves, and a streak keeps you going.

Try Reveal the Dream if you need Android, Wear OS or Windows, if one goal matters more than a task list, or if a reset has ended a good run for you before. The free version has no time limit, and scheduled days off are part of Premium as rest days, which uncover nothing and never count as missed.
