A vision board is a picture of what you want, and its weakness is that the picture never changes. You look at it for a week, you stop seeing it, and by the second month it is wallpaper. Most vision board apps for Android are a collage tool, which keeps the weakness and adds a login.

Reveal the Dream turns the board into the progress bar. You pick one photograph of the thing you are working toward. It starts under a frosted cover, divided into one region for every day of a journey you choose. Every daily check-in uncovers one region, and by the last day the whole photograph is there.

What it does on Android

A real home screen widget. Built with Glance, so the reveal is on your home screen and updates as you check in. It asks which journey to show when you place it, and it resizes in both directions.
A countdown in your notification shade. The app and the widget show when your next check-in opens and count down to it. Turn on Show countdown in notifications and a silent notification keeps it in your shade as well, then clears itself when the check-in opens. It is off until you switch it on.
A Wear OS app, a tile and a complication. Check in from your watch, swipe to the tile, or put the day count on your watch face. The watch shows the day you are on and leaves the countdown to the phone.
Text color for your photo. Pick white, cream, charcoal or black for the words over your picture. The widget follows your choice, and it costs nothing.
A daily reminder at a time you choose, or none. No notifications you did not ask for.
Native, and small. This is Kotlin and Compose, not a web page in a wrapper. It opens instantly and it works with no connection at all.

Setting it up on Android

Install it from Google Play, open it, and choose a photo.
Name the journey, pick 7 or 30 days, and create it.
Long-press your home screen, open Widgets, and drag Reveal the Dream into place. Choose the journey, then stretch the widget to the size you like.
If you want the countdown in your notification shade, switch it on in Settings.

On a Chromebook

The same app installs from Google Play on a Chromebook. It opens in a window you can resize, and it works with your keyboard, mouse or trackpad. ChromeOS has no home screen widgets, so on a Chromebook the reveal lives in the app.

A missed day costs one day

Skip a check-in and that day's region stays covered, on the app screen and on the widget alike. Everything you already uncovered stays uncovered, and no number drops back to zero.

What costs nothing

Everything one goal needs is free: a journey of 7 or 30 days, the Petals style, the widget, the Wear OS app, the countdown and its notification, text color, and sharing the finished photograph. Journeys back up through your own Google account. There is no advertising, and you never need an account with us.

Premium is for running more than one goal, or for more control over each: several journeys at once, custom lengths, rest days, repeating journeys, seven cover colors, the Rings and Arcs styles, a gallery of finished photos with per-journey results, and sync with an iPhone, iPad, Mac or Windows PC. Picking the photograph

Your photo stays on your phone

No account is needed, there are no third-party advertising SDKs, and there is nothing social in it. Your photograph and check-ins live on your phone and back up through your own Google account. If you turn on Premium's cross-platform sync, the phone encrypts a copy before it leaves, and we cannot read it.

If the rest of your devices are not Android
