A vision board on a computer usually ends up as a folder of saved images, or a collage set as the wallpaper once and never looked at again. Reveal the Dream is a single photograph of your goal that changes as you show up, with a widget on the Mac and a widget and a mini window on Windows.
How it works
You pick a photo of the thing you are working toward. It starts covered by a frosted layer, divided into one piece per day of a journey you choose: 7 or 30 days on the free version, or any length with Premium. Every day you check in, one more piece is uncovered, until the whole photograph is there.
Miss a day and that piece stays covered. Nothing resets, and everything you already uncovered stays uncovered.
On a Mac
- A native Mac app. Download it here or get it from the Mac App Store. It is the same app either way, for Apple silicon and Intel Macs on macOS 14 or later. The download from this site updates itself from inside the app.
- A widget in small or medium size. Put it in Notification Center or on the desktop, so the goal sits behind your windows all day.
- In step with your iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch. iCloud keeps your journeys the same across your Apple devices, free.
- A countdown to your next check-in in the app and on the widget.
- The color of the text over your photo, so the title and day count stay readable on a light or a dark picture.
- App Lock with Premium, which asks for Touch ID or your Mac password before the app opens.

On a Windows PC
- A real Windows app. One installer from this site or the Microsoft Store, and it updates itself. Windows 10 or later.
- An always-on-top mini window. A small window with your reveal that stays above everything else while you work. The free version keeps one for the journey you have selected, and Premium keeps one for each journey.
- A Windows 11 widget. The reveal on the Widgets Board at medium size, or a compact card with the day and an Open button at small size, on Windows 11 version 22H2 or later.
- A countdown to your next check-in in the app, in the mini window and on the widget.
- The color of the text over your photo, so the title and day count stay readable on a light or a dark picture.
- App Lock with Premium, using a password you set.

If you use a Mac and a PC, or a phone as well
Apple devices keep each other in step through iCloud for free. The Windows app keeps no copy of its own on the free version, so a PC starts fresh. Premium adds one encrypted copy of your journeys that a Mac, a Windows PC, an iPhone and an Android phone can all open, so you can check in on your phone and see it on your desk. How that sync works.
Choosing a photo for a desktop
- One subject. A board of twelve images turns into texture in a small window. One photograph of one goal reads at a glance.
- Landscape works here. A computer widget and the mini window are wide enough for a view, a place or a room.
