Reveal the Dream is built natively for both iPhone and Android. It is on the App Store and on Google Play, free, and both apps uncover your goal photo one piece per check-in and have a home screen widget.
It also runs on iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, Windows and Wear OS. You pick a photo of a goal, it starts covered, and each daily check-in uncovers one more piece. This page is about how that journey gets from one device to another, and what is free.
What is free, platform by platform
- iPhone, iPad and Mac. Devices signed in to the same iCloud account keep your journeys in step with each other, free. Your Apple Watch follows your iPhone.
- Android. Your journeys are backed up through your own Google account, and they come back when you set up a new phone from that backup. Your Wear OS watch follows your phone. You can also sign in with Google in the app's Settings to back up your journeys and photos to a hidden folder in your own Google Drive.
- Windows. The free Windows app keeps no backup of its own. Your journeys live on that PC.
What Premium adds: crossing between them
Premium keeps one encrypted copy of your journeys and their photos that an iPhone, an iPad, a Mac, an Android phone and a Windows PC can all open. Check in on your Android phone in the morning and your Windows PC has it when it syncs. Start a journey on your Mac and pick it up on your Android phone.
For Windows it is also the backup. A PC with Premium has a copy of its journeys somewhere other than that PC.
Encrypted before it leaves your device
Your journeys and photos are encrypted on your device before they are uploaded, and the server only ever stores the encrypted copy. We do not hold a key, so we cannot read your goals or see your photos.
That has one consequence worth knowing up front. When you turn it on, the app gives you a recovery code. Save it somewhere you will find it. Another device can ask for it to open your copy, and because we cannot read your data, we cannot recover the code for you either.
Your subscription crosses too
Buy Premium on whichever device you like: the App Store, Google Play, the Microsoft Store or this site. To use it on another platform, sign in with your email address and enter the six digit code we email you. That sign-in carries the subscription and nothing else. No journey, check-in or photo goes with it.
Which setup do you need?
- iPhone and Mac, or iPhone and iPad. Free covers it through iCloud.
- Android phone and Wear OS watch. Free covers it. The watch follows the phone.
- iPhone and a Windows PC, or Android and a Mac. That crosses between ecosystems, which is Premium.
- A Windows PC on its own, if you want a backup of it. Premium.

If you bought Premium through the App Store, add your email address on the iPhone app's Use on Mac or PC screen. On the Android phone, sign in with that email address, turn on backup and sync, and enter the recovery code when it asks. Your journeys and photos come across. On the free version, iCloud does not reach an Android phone, so your journeys stay on your Apple devices.
Do I have to buy Premium twice to use it on both?
No. Buy it once, through the App Store, Google Play, the Microsoft Store or this site, and sign in with your email address on the other phone to unlock it there.
