An email sign-in is optional and exists only to carry a subscription from one platform to another.
Missing a day
Nothing resets. A day can be marked as missed, which leaves that day's piece covered a little more heavily than a day still ahead of it, in the cover's own color: it stays covered while the days either side keep uncovering, and everything already earned stays earned. There is no streak to break.

7 days, 30 days, or a custom length.

Petals is free. Rings, Arcs, and Geo are available with Premium.

Reveal the Dream is a goal setting and habit tracking app for iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, Windows, Android and Wear OS, built around a simple, patient idea. Pick a photo of something you're working toward, and it starts covered by a soft frosted layer, divided into one region per day of a journey you choose: 7 days, 30 days, or a custom length. Each day you check in, one more region is uncovered, both in the app and on a home screen widget. Miss a day and nothing resets: mark it missed and that day's piece simply stays covered, a little more heavily than a day still ahead of it, while the days either side keep opening, so there is no streak to break and nothing to start over. The free version includes the Petals reveal style. A Premium subscription unlocks three more styles (Rings, Arcs, and Geo), multiple journeys, and custom lengths. There is no analytics in the app and no account is needed to use it: journeys and photos stay on the device. Signing in with an email address is optional, and its only job is to carry a subscription bought on one platform to another. Reveal the Dream is on the App Store, the Microsoft Store and Google Play, and downloads direct for Mac and Windows from revealthedream.com.
